The Yves Saint Laurent Museum Print, Parachute Print Series
The Yves Saint Laurent museum is entirely devoted to the work of the legendary fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent in Marrakech, Morocco. This beautiful building incorporates references to the couturier's work, while also making use of local materials and building techniques. The lace like patterns on the terracotta brickwork and the low curved and angular walls in earthen-coloured terrazzo make for an outstanding and dramatic home to the first dedicated fashion museum in Africa.
The YSL Museum was the first in the Parachute Print Collection. Its sleek and angular shape was transformed with the use of bold blocks of colour. This inviting and intriguing illustration shows off the beautiful quality of the line of this building while adding a dash of colour to it sophisticated form.
